The weather, once again took its toll on the field for the final winter alliance of the season.

A trolley ban, in force due to the amount of rain the course had taken over the past week meant only 14 teams battled it out between the showers.

The individual competition, saw senior Professional Shaun Ball, South Staffs GC take the honours with a score of 35 points (+1). In second with the score 34 (+2) was Steve Carter, also S Staffs GC.

Third placed with 32 (+4) was Jeremy Nicholls, Ledene GC, who seems to have hit a rich vein of form prior to the summer season starting.

The team competition saw Alec Smith, Trentham Park GC, with his amateurs, Ryan Elkin, George Whitehurst and Richard Capper take first prize with 79 points (-7).

Placed second were Jeremy Nicholls, Ledene GC with his team, P Lancaster, Mick Powell and Eddie Charlton on 76 points.

One shot behind in third were Jeremy Harold, and his amateurs, M Frost, P Chillington and J Hill, with 75 points.
